As you look out from atop
this mountain past the clouds
and fog that hang in the skies,
below you and to the north
is the vast expanse of Akono Basin,
and your new home.

Long ago, a filly was born in the lowlands, possessing the power of foresight. She was taken from her parents by the King, and made the Oracle of the herd. The Kalfex attacked Edaria, demanding to see the Oracle for themselves. In the chaos of the battle, Edarian rebels moved to the wetlands in search of freedom, calling themselves Nadek. After the battle, the Queen was found dead, and The Oracle was captured. The King committed suicide days later, and Edaria quickly chose a new King and attacked Nadek. The new King was killed by Nadek horses in battle. After the Oracle died at the young age of six, the Kalfex soon began attacking both herds, realizing that if they were to defeat them both, that they could finally leave the flatlands. Now, the three herds fight for control over the basin, and each other.

This is Eternal Opposition.
Welcome to the war.
Choose your side carefully,
and be aware that the future
is no longer predictable.

Therefore, I'm done affiliating with people from now on, just because they make me want to scream. Name: Shelaran [Shey]

Current Age: Three

Gender: Vix

Breed: Clyde/Cob/Arab

Height: 17hh

Eye Color: Dark Navy(Mistaken for Black)

Physical Appearance:
Photo Above.
Shelaran was given her height and hooves from her Clyde/Cob father, and her overall delicate structure from her mother, whom was a pure Arabian mare[A rare oddity].
Her head is a bit long, but slightly small and delicately featured, topped with sharp ears and a medium sized neck. Her chest and girth are larger than average for an Arabian, yet smaller than that of a Clydesdale. The same is true for her haunches and rump, finding it to be medium sized as well.
Her mane and tail are rather short and very choppy, the color grey with pale white steaks. Her overall color is blue roan with three white stockings on both her forelegs and her back left leg. Her feathers are short, and not too thick, laying lightly over larger than average white hooves.

Personality:
Shelaran has always been quietly thoughtful in her ways, questioning many things that others might not have before. When in her special moods she likes to think deeply and often speaks in an odd manner, using words and phrases that would be unfamiliar or unexpected to most.
She keeps to herself mostly, but when the time calls, she can be open and animated, coming in handy at times when she is needed. Around friends she can be quite average and when speaking on things she really believes in gives her an almost fiery edge. She is quiet but is not one to be overtaken in any way; she's a fighter to the end and 'tough as nails'.
Another thing about her is her love of running. Ever since she was a foal she ran as much as she could. She ran through many of the damp parts of Nadek and built up her sure-footed ways and strength in her legs. She is also full of endurance and the longest she ran without stopping was 7.5 miles around and through Nadek.
Her main dislikes mostly include her brother Da'karin, whose history with her is explained below. She also doesn't like being put down or her opinions pushed aside just because of her gender/age/and ect, and often makes herself heard anyway. She thinks it's rude and often foolish because she believes that some of the best ideas come from those who are younger.

Past:
Shelaran was born two years after her brother, Da'kiran in the lands of Nadek.
Her mother was a beautiful white Arabian mare, while her father was an odd colored Blue Roan breed between a Clydesdale/Cob.
Both where extremely loyal members of Nadek and had tried to put the same mindset to both of their offspring. It stuck true with Shelaran but seemed to bounce right off of her brother, Da'karin. Her brother took no interest and seemed to grow more and more angry with the whole idea of staying with the Nadek herd.
It all hit a climax in Shelaran's second year, when she came home from a long run while the sun disappeared to find her father dead with a long gash down his neck and a broken back leg. Her mother survived, bruised, bloody and now blind in her right eye.
This only made Shelaran despise her brother with a burning passion and also made her stronger in defending her land and alliance. She vowed never to turn her back on her fellow Nadek equines and to kill her brother if she was ever given the chance.
She finished her growing up in this same state of mind, coming to hate her brother even more for murdering her father and abandoning them to become a Loner. It also placed a bit of a passion for helping the wetlands that had been her home from being overrun by anyone but those who claimed it under the alliance Nadek.
She volunteered to be a scout, and a lookout because of her speed and ability to run quickly over long distances, and even offered to become a spy because of her easy way of blending in with others.
Now hitting her third year, she is hoping that her grown age will help others be more confident in her abilities and allow her to help more in the War that is slowly building to it's climax.

Alliance: Nadek

Sample Post:
Shelaran couldn't help but to let her mind wander now.
She was away from the others and all was quiet where she stood on the banks of the Lupine River, amidst the numerous buds that where just starting to spring up again. Soon, the banks would change color, from muddy green to the brilliant purple of the lupine flower.
Spring had started again and most of the snow in these watery places had melted to give way to the rivers and streams. The ground was muddy, but the warming sun above their heads would soon clear the mud and from it would grow rich green grasses and all sorts of other budding plants. How brilliant this season was. In all her years nothing had fascinated more (excluding Fall; who knew color changes could be so drastic?) than the season of Spring.
Audits flickered back, and then forward again as the young mare raised her head a bit more to look up and close her dark navy eyes. The sun was warm on her back and shoulders, and she was starting to loose her heavy winter coat; soon a sleek new coat would appear and she would shine blue grey in the sun. Opening her eyes once more, her dial lowered and her banner gave her flank a random swat, the brush of her own hair tickling slightly and making her rump twitch, as if a fly had landed.
So quiet.. Only the tinkling sounds of the river kept her company and she then longed for the comfort of the others. Turning her crown to the right she starting picking her way back from the damp bank, hooves falling lightly into all the right stepping places until she was free. Up from the bank she glanced back before lashing her banner once more and starting off at a healthy trot toward Echo Lake. She made hardly any noise in her trek, only the soft 'squish squish squish' of her hooves hitting a bit of muddy ground every now and then.
Today she would head back and find out what there was to know about what was happening this day.. and maybe tomorrow she would circle the lands again, watching the changes Spring had brought and also making sure that none of their lands had been touched by unknown hooves. Especially her brother's..
Audits went flat against her skull at the mear notion of 'Brother' and she immediately changed her thoughts, her pace shifting up to a soft canter, as to get to the herd a bit quicker.
She would not want to soil her thoughts on him now. Instead she started thinking of pleasanter things. The lupine flowers in bloom; the foaling that would start soon and the wonderful noises of the small fillies and colts in Amber Meadow.. Hopefully a good time was coming, and hopefully, it would last.
For a little while, at least.
