As you look out from atop
this mountain past the clouds
and fog that hang in the skies,
below you and to the north
is the vast expanse of Akono Basin,
and your new home.
Long ago, a filly was born in the lowlands, possessing the power of foresight. She was taken from her parents by the King, and made the Oracle of the herd. The Kalfex attacked Edaria, demanding to see the Oracle for themselves. In the chaos of the battle, Edarian rebels moved to the wetlands in search of freedom, calling themselves Nadek. After the battle, the Queen was found dead, and The Oracle was captured. The King committed suicide days later, and Edaria quickly chose a new King and attacked Nadek. The new King was killed by Nadek horses in battle. After the Oracle died at the young age of six, the Kalfex soon began attacking both herds, realizing that if they were to defeat them both, that they could finally leave the flatlands. Now, the three herds fight for control over the basin, and each other.
This is Eternal Opposition.
Welcome to the war.
Choose your side carefully,
and be aware that the future
is no longer predictable.
8-16-08: Alright, I'm pissed off at a lot of sites that I previously tried to affiliate with cuz they refused to put up my banner and totally ignored my affiliate requests. Therefore, I'm done affiliating with people from now on, just because they make me want to scream. ANYWAY... if you're a random guest that's just arrived, please take a look around and ask any questions about the site in our guest-friendly cbox. Thanks for visiting Eo, and we hope you like what you see.

escape from this afterlife
The light bay beast moved his head slowly away from the tree trunk he had just hit it against. Low, painfilled whimpers were escaping his dark chocolate lips as he stepped back, black-lined ears flat against his head. The young stallion gave what could only be described as a moan as he stepped back again, ramming his haunches against a tree. Frustration rippled through his light bay frame as he shifted around, moving forward slowly after successfully moving around the first tree that had hurt him. His movements were slow and awkward, not the confident moves one would think a young horse like him would have.
The young stallion tossed his ebonite mane out his his face, letting it fall behind the black-tipped ears; this movement revealed exactly why the young stallion was moving so slowly through a forest he knew almost by heart. In the space where two eyes would normally be in a horse's visage, were two empty, forlorn looking eyes sockets. The young horse was blind, void of eyes in which to see. It was a sad thing to see; a creature to be pitied? Or spited and laughed at? Or perhaps both? Many horses in the Herd of Nadek teased him, shot malice at him, but maybe they pitied him on the inside? I'll let you decide.
Afterlife gave a low sigh as he let his black legs cease moving, bringing his frame to a halt. He lifted his light bay hued head and turned it from side to side, making it appear as though he was looking around. He knew he wasnt fooling anyone, or himself for that matter. Everyone in the herd knew about him. How could they not? The stud let his head drop back down and a sigh escaped his lips, sadness rolling off of him in waves like those that roll onto the shore of the sea. Why was he always alone?
Running. It's what she did best, and what she was doing now. Running for hours on end without stopping, all around the lands of Nadek, the wind whipping her mane back as her pace quickened a bit more, having just exited the Amber meadow and was now starting past Azure forest. It was always silent here, and she liked to bypass it quickly when she was alone, feeling like the mists would come forth and swallow her up if she wasn't careful. Who knows how many a horse had been lost in those woods? It was for this very reason that after hearing a light 'thunk' in the forest, she shied violently and her feet almost slipped out from under her as she snorted and caught herself quickly, kicking her back legs up in warning. What the bloody hell had made that noise? And why? Shelaran snorted and her ears where flickered forward, taking in anything she could coming from the forest. And then, as if out of nowhere she picked out the shape of a horse within the trees, seeming to look about the forest. Who was that? And what where they doing in Azure? More curious now than she had been, Shelaran gave a whinny and started toward the figure lightly. "Oi there, what are you doing out here all alone? It can be quite dangerous in Azure forest." She said a bit obviously, before recognizing who it was. Afterlife. The poor blind brute that no one seemed to give mercy. She often saw him going off alone, but didn't know that this was where he went too.. "Oh! Hey Afterlife. What are you doing out here?" She asked curiously, pausing a normal conversation distance from him. Closer than most people would get to him; she had to admit, it was quite different seeing one without eyes in the sockets, but she tried to look past it. She preferred being kind to being mean and petty. So now she took her chance to speak to him, not having been able to before, either having to do something else at the moment, or having found him disappearing before she could get to him.
